SOCCER4LIFE
Reaching Communities. Giving Opportunities
ABOUT US

Soccer4life is a faith- based 501(c)3 organization that runs a soccer developmental program for underprivileged and at risk youth in the inner cities. By actively engaging participants in soccer at a young age, through an annual soccer league and seasonal soccer camps, Soccer4life empowers the youth to live a healthy lifestyle and gives them opportunity to enhance their personal and social development.

OUR MISSION

The mission of Soccer4Life is to empower children to reach their full potential on and off the field via a competitive soccer program with quality coaching in a faith-based environment.

BACKGROUND HISTORY

In the year 2000, Soccer4life founder, Zenzo Ndlovu received a Soccer scholarship to study at the Mobile University, where he majored in Computer Information Systems and Business studies.  While studying at the University of Mobile he went through a life- changing experience and he knew that God was calling him to use soccer as vehicle to minister to kids starting in Mobile, Alabama, where he observed immediately the obstacles and needs that underprivileged and at-risk inner city youth must overcome in order to reach their full potential. As a professional soccer player, he acknowledged the influence of sport as a means to address the inner-city youth issues.

Thus, he organized Soccer4life and started facilitating soccer camps throughout Mobile, Alabama. Parents and the youth instantly embraced the opportunity to participate in a safe and structured environment as well as to be a part of a team. What started as a 3 day soccer camp has since developed into an around the year program, serving over 720 students per season in 24 schools throughout Mobile, Alabama.
